Hey, I'm Kurt, Butcher and Owner of Butchers Bowl :)

A qualified Butcher, nearing 28 years, my passion has always been 'to create quality cuts, as if it were for my own family'. 17 years into my trade, my passion and mindset extended to our family pets, when I had the wonderful opportunity to adopt the dog of my dreams - a male Bullmastiff, my boy, my buddy... Zeus.

Zeus' reactions and behaviours spoke loudly about the raw foods I prepared and provided him. The shine and softness of his brindle fur, the brightness in his eyes, the emphatic beats of his tail against the wall when trying to be patient during meal prep time (failed miserably every time!) and the speed run-circle-prance dancing while wobbling his long droopy-drool filled jowls, were the valuable moments that turned my trade and knowledge of meat, into something more truly meaningful to me, my family.

My passion for all things good and rewarding for my boy's health and wellbeing evolved into learning more about the benefits of raw feeding and the many ways to make meal preparation easier. This has now spanned 11 years (and still going), and has eventuated into what you see here today, Butchers Bowl.
